Classical Indian arts, music, and dance are very intricately
linked. Students are taken through an interactive journey
where they observe the depth and experience the joy of these
arts. They are introduced to the melodic and rhythmic structures,
and briefly the theory behind it.
In some cases, students do a project that will allow them
to delve into certain aspects of music, so that the next time
they attend a recital or a concert, they are a better audience
and can articulate that experience as well. Indian folk music
is also an integral part of the curriculum, with an opportunity
for students to link the classical arts with their knowledge
of popular music and cinema. |
