Meru
Education Foundation offers a number of workshops designed
for schools that is delivered to students and teachers on
the arts and culture of India. We endeavor to pursue cultural
and historical accuracy so that representations of the diverse
traditions and heritages of India can be brought closer for
all to learn.
Meru
School programs have been devised after a careful study of
the social studies curriculum followed by the schools. These
programs will expose students to the history, arts, culture,
and ancient civilization of India thus teaching them a great
deal about a non-western culture. Through stories, celebrations
of festivals, multimedia presentations and worksheets prepared
with grade appropriate materials students will learn about
diversity and multicultural issues in our community. These
presentations are designed as enrichment and educational programs
and will supplement on going teaching in classes.
